John Lennon & Various Artists – Radio Waves (4-LP Vinyl Bundle)

This unmissable four-disc bundle brings together a host of iconic 1972 live performances by John Lennon.

Discs One and Two showcase the One to One benefit concert, held at New York’s Madison Square Garden, on 30 August 1972.

John Lennon and his wife, Yoko Ono, headlined the event, the purpose of which was to raise funds for children with intellectual disabilities.

That day Lennon performed two shows, one in the afternoon and one in the evening. The concert also featured other performers in addition to Lennon, including Stevie Wonder, Roberta Flack, Sha Na Na and poet Allen Ginsberg.

Discs Three and Four compile a series of legendary US broadcasts from 1972 – from the Mike Douglas Show, the Dick Cavett Show and the Jerry Lewis Telethon.

Included across four discs, are celebrated Lennon solo cuts such as Imagine, Instant Karma! (We All Shine On), Mother and Give Peace a Chance, a rousing rendition of the Beatles’ Come Together, and much more.
