Guns N’ Roses – The Great Lost Album (12-Inch Double-LP)

This unique two-disc anthology brings together a host of Guns N’ Roses rarities.

Proceedings kick off with a charged cover of Sex Pistols’ Did You Know Wrong, which Axl Rose recorded with Steve Jones for Jones’ second album, Fire and Gasoline. This is closely followed by a take on Tom Petty’s Free Fallin’, which Rose and Petty recorded together at the 1989 MTV Video Music Awards.

There are also covers of Aerosmith’s Mama Kin, Alice Cooper’s Under My Wheels, Van Halen’s 5150 and the Beatles’ Come Together – the latter performed with Bruce Springsteen at the annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony in 1994.

The cover of AC/DC’s Whole Lotta Rosie is of particular interest, as Axl would go on to front the Australian rockers on tour from May to June 2016.

Away from the cover versions, are the inclusions of early demos and live recordings that are essential listening for fans of the band.
